
In the vicinity of the Ala-Chaung Police Station in the central region of Mingon District, on the Thayet-Mingon road section, a white pickup truck from KPS 12, based in Thayet Township, was attacked by a military vehicle. As a result, 8 armed soldiers were killed, and 4 others, including 2 officers, were severely injured, according to an announcement from the Upper Minhla PDF.
The attack occurred at around 4:40 PM on February 19, when the military vehicle was struck. After the attack, the vehicle carrying the armed soldiers fled, and later, around a mile away in Saydoe Village, the vehicle was found abandoned on the roadside after the driver was killed. It was reported that the 8 armed soldiers from the military junta were killed, and 4 others, including 2 officers, sustained severe injuries.
The bodies of the dead soldiers were transported by civilian vehicles to KPS 12, and the injured officers were sent to the Magwe Hospital for treatment. Two other soldiers were securely treated in Mingon Hospital with urgent care, as reported by the Upper Minhla PDF group.
Additionally, around 2:20 AM on February 20, in Mingon Township, near the Puthan-Monywa road, the military camp at the Kyauk-Tine Hospital in Mingon Township was attacked by a group of around 50 armed soldiers. The attack resulted in the deaths of 2 police officers and over 10 injuries.
The clash lasted for about 40 minutes without reaching the military camp due to intense resistance. The attackers eventually retreated due to insufficient ammunition.
The military operation was led by the Magwe District Special Operations Unit (USB Army), and it was carried out in collaboration with the Mingon and Upper Minhla PDF forces.
